Make A Contribution: Your Gift Will Be Matched 3:1

To honor Dick’s career-long commitment to legal aid, Bay Area Legal established The Richard C. Woltmann Endowment, held at The Community Foundation Tampa Bay.

In November 2023, an anonymous supporter announced that he would offer a 3:1 match for all contributions up to $250,000 to open an endowment in honor of Dick - a goal which has almost been met.

The endowment will support the many comprehensive legal programs Dick oversaw in his 43-year tenure as Bay Area Legal’s President/CEO. The idea of this endowment comes on the heels of Dick’s retirement announcement. After 47-years at Bay Area Legal, 43 of those years serving as President/CEO, he will enter into his next chapter.

When you make a gift to the endowment before December 31, 2024, your name will be added to a commemorative plaque at Bay Area Legal Services' HQ office in Ybor in honor of Dick. You will also be listed on our website, in our impact report, and at our annual Champions for Justice Donor Appreciation Event.
