Donor Spotlight: Susan Sandler
Susan Sandler is the Project Director of the Judge Don Castor Community Law Center, a project of the Volunteer Lawyers Program at Bay Area Legal Services.
She is pledged to our Justice Works! campaign and has been a loyal supporter of Bay Area Legal's mission for 30+ years.
Why do you support Legal Aid?
"I have supported Bay Area Legal Services for more than 33 years as a donor, a volunteer attorney, and later as a staff attorney. The reason is simple - I have a passion for their mission of serving the vulnerable and low-income residents in our community and know that the leadership and staff feel as I do. I am inspired by the stories of hope. Bay Area Legal is always evolving to meet the ever-changing needs in our community for legal justice."
What would you say to other attorneys who are interested in giving?
"Giving to Bay Area Legal Services is not just a donation. As a donor, you cannot help but feel that you're vested in the organization. They keep us informed about their work and share, through stories and measurements, how our donation dollars have contributed to real community outcomes."
In three words, what does justice mean to you?
"Rule of Law."
