How do I get my credit report for free?

You should review your credit report annually for accuracy. This also can prevent identity theft.

The three major credit bureaus must provide one free credit report per year. Go to AnnualCreditReport.com to obtain the free reports.

Be prepared: you will have to answer several questions about your debts before you can get access to the report.

You can review each of the three credit bureaus at one time or separately during a one-year period.
