Carlton Fields Initiates $25,000 Match, Supporting Equal Access to Justice through the Richard C. Woltmann Endowment
Carlton Fields has announced a $25,000 matching gift challenge to support the Richard C. Woltmann Endowment.
Carlton Fields is honoring Dick Woltmann’s 40 years of leadership by contributing $25,000 to the Richard C. Woltmann Endowment and is working toward a goal of raising an additional $25,000 through personal contributions from the firm’s shareholders and of counsel attorneys.
By participating in this collective effort, Carlton Fields reaffirms its commitment to expanding access to legal aid. These contributions will fund the many comprehensive programs Dick Woltmann oversaw during his 43-year tenure as President and CEO of Bay Area Legal Services, ensuring individuals in need can access legal representation and critical resources, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Carlton Fields has been a longtime supporter of Bay Area Legal Services through a firm culture of philanthropic and pro bono efforts. The firm was instrumental in founding the Legal Information Center at the George Edgecomb Courthouse (operated by Bay Area Legal), which serves thousands of pro se litigants navigating their family legal issues each year. In addition to their longtime support to our Legal Information Center, Carlton Fields helped Bay Area Legal Services create its very first endowment with a lead contribution of $50,000 more than twenty years ago.
The Richard C. Woltmann Endowment, launched in November 2023 with the help of an anonymous donor, is a way many can help celebrate Dick’s longstanding commitment to legal aid. With Carlton Fields’ generous contribution and the ongoing support of our dedicated donors, we aim to secure and sustain the future of Bay Area Legal Services.
