Carlton Fields Surpasses $50k Fundraising Goal Supporting Bay Area Legal's Woltmann Endowment
In September 2024, Carlton Fields honored Dick Woltmann’s 43 years of leadership with a $25,000 contribution to the Richard C. Woltmann Endowment and set a goal to raise an additional $25,000 through contributions from the firm’s shareholders and of counsel attorneys.

Bay Area Legal Services is thrilled to share that we have also surpassed the ambitious $250,000 fundraising goal set in November 2023 for the Woltmann Endowment. Thank you to everyone who contributed to honoring Dick Woltmann’s extraordinary legacy.
Carlton Fields has been a longtime supporter of Bay Area Legal Services through a firm culture of philanthropic and pro bono efforts. The firm was instrumental in founding the Legal Information Center at the George Edgecomb Courthouse (operated by Bay Area Legal), which serves thousands of pro se litigants navigating their family legal issues each year. In addition to their longtime support to our Legal Information Center, Carlton Fields helped Bay Area Legal Services create its very first endowment with a lead contribution of $50,000 more than twenty years ago.
Throughout his tenure, Dick tirelessly championed justice and equity for those facing life-changing legal challenges. He has inspired and strengthened the compassion of numerous individuals to join in this noble cause.”
The Richard C. Woltmann Endowment, launched in November 2023 with the help of an anonymous donor, is a way many can help celebrate Dick’s longstanding commitment to legal aid.
